Maureen Walsh

FIELD TRIPS COORDINATOR

Maureen spent her childhood as an Air Force “brat,” living in Texas, England, California, and Germany, until her family finally settled in Fresno as she began high school. She graduated from Fresno High School, then went on to CSUF where she earned a BA in English Lit. After college, she lived in San Jose, CA, and worked for Santa Clara County in various clerical positions for eleven years before returning to Fresno, where she began her work career with Fresno Superior Court. After retiring from the court, she became a docent at Fresno Chaffee Zoo in 2015, and she continues to work in that capacity today. She came relatively late to birding, also in 2015, when she went to a Beginning Birding event led by George Folsom. She has been hooked ever since. She enjoys walking, hiking, zumba, travel, reading, volunteering at the zoo, and of course birding.
