Nancy Stebbins Gilmore was born and raised in Stockton, California. Growing up in a family of outdoor enthusiasts and naturalists of all sorts, Nancy has been an avid birder for as long as she can recall. She received her BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, San Luis Obispo. After graduation, Nancy moved to the Bay Area to begin her career in the Natural Gas Utility Industry with PG&E. She subsequently moved to the Fresno area to raise her family in the early 1990s. Nancy currently works with GTS Engineering and Consulting, Inc., mentoring younger engineers and performing computer-modeling simulations, assisting various Utilities with their pipeline system integrity management. She is currently Outreach Chair of Fresno Audubon Society (FAS), managing multiple social media accounts while also providing support in many aspects of FAS’s expanding technology endeavors. She enjoys birding, hiking, fishing, and outdoor photography.
