Saturday Bird Walk at Swanson Meadow (Shaver)

Registration is required for this event.
Swanson Meadow is near the rest area on Dinky Road east of the town of Shaver. We will be walking in and around the meadow which will be wet in places so wear appropriate footwear. Expected species are warblers, woodpeckers, flycatchers, nuthatches, towhees, vireos among others. If time allows we may go the McKinley Grove.
We will meet at 6:45 AM in the Target parking lot in the River Park Shopping Center on El Paso Ave east of Blackstone Ave to carpool or you can meet at the Southern California Edison rest area .7 miles east of Shaver where there is a restroom and parking lot at 8:00 AM. We plan to be finished by Noon.
Participants should bring snacks, lunch (if desired), water, hat, sunscreen, binoculars, and should dress in layers.
