Kern County Spring Migration – America’s late April/early May Birdiest Inland County contest winner 7 years in a row!
This small spring is a preserve, in the desert north of Mohave. It is well known to birders as a migrant trap.
This trip will involve some uneven ground, but not too strenuous. We will be making a loop and not returning., so we will not be able to carpool once there.
Bring water, hat, sunscreen, layers of clothing (can be extremely cold in AM, and very warm in afternoon), breakfasts, snacks, and lunches. You may want insect repellent. Have plenty of water in your car in case of an emergency. Please make sure you have a way to carry water on you while walking.
