Rich Gilman graduated from Fresno City College Nursing program in 1978, working in critical care and open heart surgery recovery for 20 years at Saint Agnes Medical Center and as an Educator at Community Regional Medical Center for 10 years. In 1996, Rich and Jane, his wife of 39 years, started Elder Homes Assisted Living (www.elderhomes.net). He and Jane, who is also a registered nurse, have lived in the Madera Ranchos area for 25 years. Rich is currently developing his own medical education website, www.richacls.com, and is a docent with the Sierra Foothill Conservancy. As an amateur birder, Rich enjoys attending the birding outings with the experienced birders from the Fresno Audubon Society. His hobbies include photography, birding, hiking, backpacking, and cycling.
